Announcement and call for registration of the
Ninth Kudowa Summer School
“Towards Fusion Energy”
General Information
The Polish Association EURATOM/Institute of Plasma Physics and Laser Microfusion (IPPLM, Warsaw, Poland),
together with the Czech and Hungarian EURATOM Associations and International Centre for Dense Magnetised
Plasmas (ICDMP) organize the Ninth edition of International Workshop and Summer School "Towards Fusion Energy",
which will be held in Kudowa Zdroj (a small resort city at the Polish-Czech border), Poland, on June 8-12, 2010.
The school is designed for young scientists from different countries, and it will concern mainly various aspects
of a fusion energy, plasma experiments, pulsed-power diagnostics and technology. During special sessions the
participants will have possibility to present short (20-30 minutes) talks about their research activities.
Participants are kindly asked to send a title and a short abstract (1 page in Times New Roman, 12ppt, single spaced)
of their proposed presentation before March 1st, 2010.

Registration fee
The participation fee is 1500 zl and it will cover the accommodation, full board and travel
Prague – Kudowa Zdroj – Prague (by a tourist coach).
As an exception it well be possible to pay on the registration desk.
For young participants from developing countries a limited financial support will be available
(special applications sent to the LOC is necessary – appropriated forms will be distributed on request).
The deadline for the final registration for this school is March 1st, 2010.
Information about financial support will be given before 15th March , 2010..
How to reach Kudowa Zdroj?
Kudowa Zdroj is a small resort city at the Polish-Czech border. The closest airports are in
Prague (Czech Republic), Wroclaw(Poland), and Warsaw(Poland).
From Prague:
The special bus (labeled with the School name) will be waiting for our guests on Monday, 7 June on theparking of the "Deivice" metro station.
The bus from Kudowa Zdroj to Prague will leave on Sunday, 13 June. The departure time is 10:00 a.m.
